Sean was born into the building industry, and developed a passion for construction early in life through sharing the daily experiences of his father Mike. Now as a 2nd generation family business under Sean’s tenure, Gavin Construction has grown to its current position of prominence in the Western Australian construction industry. Sean is a Registered Builder and is also the holder of a Real Estate & Business Sales Representative License. In addition to his vast construction experience, Sean has also developed a broad knowledge of business principles and efficiency from his experience as a Broker, Commercial & Industrial Agent and Developer. Sean’s role as Managing Director includes quality assurance, strategic planning, customer liaison, marketing and administration. As a committee member of ‘Family Business Australia”, Sean has a strong conviction to assist other family businesses achieve their goals. Sean is also an elected member of the MBA Council of Management.
Patrick has an honours degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Western Australia and is a qualified tradesman (carpenter). In the last five years he has worked as an Estimator and has successfully tendered over $125 million worth of commercial construction. He has extensive experience in the construction of residential developments, shopping centres, showroom and warehouse developments, schools and public buildings, commercial restoration and refurbishment, and many years experience in precast tilt-up construction. His willingness and ability to communicate with clients, consultants, architects and subcontractors alike ensures the best outcomes for your project.
Chris has recently taken on the new role of Syndication Manager, following four years as Business Development Manager and is now working to add value to the portfolios of both staff and clients of Gavin Construction, by sourcing and undertaking Commercial and Industrial developments across the Perth metropolitan area. Chris holds qualifications in Business and Banking & Finance, and is the holder of a current Real Estate Agents licence. Chris has been involved with the construction and property development industry in Perth for over 20 years, and enjoys an excellent relationship with many of Western Australia’s finest developers. Chris’ background includes ten years as Property Finance Manager with Esanda Finance, and four years as an award winning Sales Manager with the Ray White Real Estate Group, and his substantial experience and knowledge of financing and property development across all sectors of the market brings a wealth of experience to each syndication project. Chris is also a former client having undertaking the development of several office buildings and a community facility in Ellenbrook, north east of Perth, using the building services of Gavin Construction. Chris is looking forward to working with existing and prospective clients to ensure their experience with Gavin Construction is the beginning of a long term mutually beneficial relationship.
Peter qualified as an architect here in Western Australia almost 40 years ago and has worked in a variety of government and private practices. He has spent the past 12 years in the Design and Construction field, which has been invaluable experience for his current role. He has also been a local Government Councillor and has served on the WA Chapter Council of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, through which he received design awards for the Kelmscott Bus/Rail Transfer Station. Peter is also a past member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and the International Solar Energy Society. His customer service ethos ensures Peter's commitment to building strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
Working in a major architectural practice for 12 years has provided Erling with outstanding experience in all aspects of commercial / industrial design and drafting. Spearheading our in-house design team, he has a keen attention for detail and cost effective design, and a flair for creating award winning design concepts. Erling’s in-depth involvement in a wide variety of projects over the past 18 years has given him an impressive understanding of the varied aesthetics of differing building types and their functional design. Erling has led the design team to more than a dozen state and national industry awards since joining Gavin Construction.
Pam gained her extensive financial knowledge working in the retail, wholesale and manufacturing industries, enjoying various roles ranging from book-keeper to office manager and administration manager. Moving to Perth from Tasmania four years ago, Pam brings over 30 years experience in office and financial management to her new role as financial controller and is instrumental to the efficient running of the office.
Jenny brings to Gavin Construction over 9 years experience in Human Resource and Risk Management. As HR Manager, Jenny focuses on attraction and retention strategies and assists management with staff resource planning, development and implementation in line with business objectives. Combining her knowledge and skills in Risk Management and Quality Assurance, Jenny synergetically organises risk reporting, site inspections and audits and creates and monitors Occupational Health and Safety Systems.
