We are known for specialising in the completion of prestigious commercial construction projects from design through to hand over, managing all aspects of the commercial construction process. Due to growth, expansion and a new design & construct project, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Perth, working on a commercial construction project in Karratha. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the main responsibility of this role is to ensure the successful delivery of all stages of the project from award of contract through to design, construction and project close out. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience in the building and construction industry at a Senior Management level. Candidates who have worked for construction contractors and who have also had experience in estimating, project engineering, and / or contracts administration, will be of particular interest. Your key duties will include however not be limited to the following; Establish and implement overall project delivery plan. Develop, maintain and implement project specific plans in accordance with company standards. Take total ownership of safety, financial results, time and quality outcomes of the project, customer and team satisfaction in accordance with KPIs. Be clear with roles and responsibilities for all team members, set, monitor and review expectations, goals and objectives. Control project expenditures and ensure that purchase orders/invoices are approved within Limits of Authority and logged in the system in time for month end processing. Demonstrate personal commitment through own behaviour. Deliver a monthly project report in accordance with company requirements. (eg Safety, Quality, Financials, Program etc.) Regularly and proactively keep clients informed of progress. The following Key Competencies and personal attributes are also required; Tertiary Qualification in Building/Construction field or Engineering Mature communication and negotiation skills Effective time management and prioritisation skills Ability to balance the day to day with longer term project orientation Project budgeting skills, including an understanding of project financial issues including cash flow, retentions etc. Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety obligations, industry safety standards and OHS principals.
