Project Overview

project description: Situated in the Wangara Industrial Estate, this mixed use office / industrial project  contains the clients new head office and workshop, four adjoining strata titled office warehouse buildings for investment.

Project Features

prominent design feature: The owners design brief was to provide a building that took full advantage of the vista whilst maximizing exposure for the business. Given the elongated shape of the site, the owner was mindful of avoiding a building that had box like in appearance. Predominantly tilt panel walls were cleverly designed to create the look of a curved façade without the additional expense and delay of creating curved concrete panels. This feature has created an eye catching landmark to the area when combined with the carefully considered colour scheme and extensive landscaping. The owner was inundated with enquires to lease and purchase the development. The building now offers a strong street presence and has become a local talking point. The owner’s office and balcony have been designed and orientated to allow for entertaining and to capture the expansive view available from this position.

construction features: The use of a ‘High Rib’ roofing system allowed a reduction in the roof steel, contributed to the building meeting the client’s budget requirements. Multi unit tenancies have been designed to provide separate access with the provision for individual office fit-outs. Generous clearance heights within each tenancy have been designed into the building. Simple rebates were added to the concrete panels on site, creating an economic and effective feature to the façade.

internal features: Simple and effective lines throughout the office contribute to a clean efficient environment. A neutral colour palate allows stronger colour to be introduced through the clients corporate logos and features. A timber and steel staircase features prominently in the lobby and is visible externally, and leads to the owner’s office and boardroom facilities.
