project description: Single Storey Recreation Centre with brick cavity walls built of a concrete slab supporting a metal framed rood clad with colour bond.

Project Features

prominent design feature: The project provides public toilets, change rooms, equipment stores, function room, commercial kitchen, bar and commercial cool room facility for the sporting clubs that share RA Cook Reserve in Bedford.  The design of the building is economic and efficient and provides a practical facility located very close to the playing grounds themselves.  The prominent design feature is the raked feature entry walls painted fire engine red. 

construction features:
The building is a single storey structure with cavity brick walls, cement rendered walls, structural steel skillion roof with colorbond clad vertical eaves linings.  The building is on a sloped site and retained at the rear of the building (see photograph above).

internal features:
All internal walls that are plastered will be constructed using Midland Maxibrick to allow for a paint finish.
